Why tajweed matters
Tajweed is the set of rules for reciting the Quran the way it was revealed: each letter from its correct place, with its correct qualities, and with the right length on every vowel. Small changes in pronunciation can change the meaning of a word, which is why scholars have always taught the Quran by listening and correcting, teacher to student. Our classes follow that same method, live and one to one.
What you will learn
- Makharij al-huruf: where each letter is pronounced from.
- Sifaat: the qualities of letters, such as heavy and light letters.
- Rules of noon sakinah and tanween: izhar, idgham, iqlab and ikhfa.
- Rules of meem sakinah, qalqalah and ghunnah.
- Madd: the different types of elongation and how long to hold each one.
- Waqf: where to stop and start correctly.
- Fluency: steady, confident recitation from the Mushaf.
How classes work
Each 30-minute class is live, one teacher with one student. You recite, the teacher listens and corrects in real time, then explains the rule behind the correction with simple examples. Rules are always taught through recitation, not as dry theory, so they stick. We usually work through Juz Amma first and then continue from the beginning of the Quran.
For children and for adults
Children aged 6 and above who have finished Noorani Qaida join this course to build fluency. Adults often join because they learned to read as children but never had their tajweed corrected properly. Both are welcome, and lessons are adjusted to the student. Sisters can choose a female teacher.
How long does it take?
With three classes a week, most students read with good tajweed within 6 to 12 months. Fluency keeps improving after that, and many students continue towards completing the whole Quran with their teacher, or start Hifz.

Every plan starts with 3 free trial classes. Classes are 30 minutes, live and one to one.
